I think it was just 2 short years ago that we had the birthday party for Mom at Arden Courts. She looked to happy to see Carol Leonard when she came in. I hope she didn't have too hard of a time while she suffered from Alz. and that we made her happy. I think we did the best we could. I know she's happier now, so it doesn't matter any more.
Love you all,
Lel

Raindrops and holidays
Wow, what a dreary background on the blog. We’re still suffering during the rainy season here and after being stuck yesterday, driving all over Singapore in monsoon downpours, I’d rather see sunshine.
Just for future planning, it’s looking more and more like we will only be coming to Baltimore in September. Melanie’s brother, sister-in-law and sister will be coming with us to see some of the US either before or after Andy’s wedding. As we will likely be back in November too, those will be our two trips for the year. We’ll miss crab-time in Baltimore. Errrrr….. and all of you too.

I am not very good at blog design
Feel free to clean this up if anyone is ever out there looking to be creative. Other than that, I'm just writing to say, "hey."

Purple Reign
Just curious.... are the gaudy colors of the current blog format a necessary evil and the only way to work in a purple color to honor the Super Bowl champs? Some game, huh? Yet again, I was one of the few at the American Club Super Bowl viewing who was rooting for the Ravens. It's fun when we win.

Happy Birthday Michael
Posting this wish here, instead of Facebook just to be rogue. Hope you have a special fun day. I guess it is already over in your time zone, so have another great day tomorrow just to make up for it.
Take care,

Poem to Mom
In Mom's scrap book there was a Christmas card from someone named Bill. He included the following poem (in very neat handwriting):
Before I heard the doctor say
There's danger in a kiss
I used to think that kissing you
Was the nearest thing to bliss
But now I know biology
And I sit and sigh and moan
Ten million mad bacteria -
I though we were alone?
I ran up the door
I locked the stairs
I said my shoes
and took off my prayers
I turned off the bed
And jumped into the light
And all because dear
You kissed me goodnight.
Just wanted to record it for posterity
