(4) both (John and Sarah) were born in Germany and were living in Baltimore during the 1880 census. They had 6 other children - John, William, Anna, Elizabeth, Madaline, and Ferdinand. I don't know the address but they were living in the 8th Ward, Precinct 4 which is located in the area around North Ave and Belair Road. Jacob Gisriel was a “huckster” and his two eldest sons (John and William) worked as brass molders/founders." - "huckster" according to Wikipedia is "a seller of small articles, usually of cheap or shoddy quality, or one engaged in haggling or making petty bargains, that is, a certain type of peddler or hawker."

Thanks to all for their great efforts in helpiing Shane. He thoroughly enjoyed putting the pieces together for his tree, and learning the stories about the people. I heard him telling his classmates that he woould have been named Schmitt, but they made old Joe change his name.
By the way, Michael, my current issue of Sierra Club lists Dickinson as the number 2 green school in the country. I wasn't surprised.
I had all the dates and names, but Michael, from where did you cull all the other information? It wasn't part of the package Uncle Carroll put together.
Internet searches on the names the other night got me those notes. They are mostly cut and pasted so you can put parts in quotes and do a search. Later I'll add the links when time permits. I want to add the Gentry & and O'Conor names / dates too in a similar format.
Has anypone ever found anything on the Galvin and Lavelle sides? The tree Shane made was cut short there.
