Why does seem so quiet around here? I hope everyone had a nice holiday and that you are reasonably tolerating the extreme weather. Rory wants to see snow, so we may be traveling north this weekend. Is there still some around?

Lemon Cookies Available

I opened 2 of Mom's cookie tins last night. Found jewelry in one of them (nothing exciting) and a package of lemon cookies in the other. Considering they have to be at least a year and a half old, they look like they were made yesterday. Andy and I both tasted them. I'm still here to blog this morning, although I didn't check if Andy was breathing before I left.

I'll save them for whoever wants a taste. BTW, no detergent color or taste.

Christmas Plans....

I talked to Paul today and he is planning on having a Christmas Open House on the 25th. His plan is to take Mom to mass in the morning and then bring her back to his house. He said that people could arrive around 2:00 or whatever time works for you. He just needs for anyone coming to please text him and let him know how many to expect and if you could bring anything. I told him that I would call Uncle Larry and Julie. I'm planning on bringing ham and rolls. (don't laugh Quinn!)

If anyone has any spare prayers....or job leads...Jamie could use them.

He was "laid off" last week as his company is dissolving his business unit in preparation for a company buy out on January 1st. His unit was more of a support center as opposed to a sales maker and therefore dispensable. So much for 9 years with the "family organization"! We're looking at it as them giving him a head start on the job hunting since they are not even sure who's job is "safe" after the takeover. Soo....if you happen to know anyone in the MD/PA/VA/Carolinas area looking to hire a motivated sales professional...give them Jamie's name please.

Happy Birthday Quinn! Since we can't really thank you enough for what you do for mom and all of us, you'll be getting your reward in heaven I am sure. Anyway, a million thanks for everything.
